 You
probably know we pressure treat timber and supply poles, sleepers,
fencing, gates and construction timbers - but do you know what we do
for our industry, for the industries of our customers and for the
environment?
We take an active role in the work undertaken by the Timber Trade
Federation and of the Western European Institute of Wood
Preservation. Through these organisations, we supplement our work
with the Creosote Council, where our objectives are to develop and
maintain treatment processes and timber supplies which limit
environmental impact.
In fact, as members of the WWWF95+ Group and holders of an FSC Chain
of Custoody Certificate, we are the first company to import FSC
sourced sleepers for the UK rail network. These sleepers are from sustained,
managable forests. This is celebrated by Railtrack who approve us
under their Link-up Scheme.
ISO 9002 approval, the Royal Warrant and our pending application for
accreditation under the ISO 14001 Environmental Standard and
membership of the British Wood Preserving and Damp Proof Association
confirm that we want to do more than supply your timber products.
